We are a composite company consisting of multiple subsidiaries and teams spread across the globe, but we constitute one community and one culture. We were founded in Oslo on May 17, 2000 and are fully owned by current and former employees.

Our Offices
Norway
Norway is our main market and our largest office is in Oslo, right by Oslo Central Station. 25 of our employees work here, while the remaining five who also work in Norway are in Bergen, Trondheim, Hamar and Kristiansand.
Philippines
Our office in the Philippines is in Cebu City, where both Norwegians and locals work in a tight-knit team focused on online stores and web development. The Philippines also handles much of our administration.
Mexico
In Mexico we have two large teams, one in Mexico City and one on the south Pacific coast in Puerto Escondido. In Mexico too we are both Norwegians and locals, and we work extensively with local clients here.
A Brief History
Copyleft Solutions started as a sole proprietorship in 1999 and was incorporated on May 17, 2000. We caught one year of the dotcom bubble before it burst, and after that shifted focus from programming to IT operations. Over time we rebuilt the development department, but operations has remained in our DNA and accounts for much of our business still, 20 years later.
In 2004 we opened an office in Mexico, and in 2012 one in the Philippines. Along the way we have also brought on specialists and experts around the world, working for us from places like Serbia, India and Argentina.
Our focus on design as an important part of our business started in 2014, and we quickly discovered how much this meant for our ability to produce good systems and services. Design is now just as important to us as programming and operations, and the design department continues to grow.
In 2017 we also entered telephony at the operator level and founded Telefactory AS, which works on connecting advanced telephony with business systems, web and apps.
In 2021 we look back on a tough year with COVID-19 and are very much looking forward to getting back to the offices and spreading our wings again!
